Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the direction and size of the vibration intensity in a short period of time with high accuracy, thus making it possible to detect the position of the source of the vibration, by constituting a wattmeter therefor by a sensor unit, a calculating circuit unit for calculating the vibration intensity, a display unit, etc. CONSTITUTION:A wattmeter 1 is constituted by a sensor unit 2 which is comprised of sensors 2A and 2B for detecting the acceleration of the vibration, a display unit 5 accommodated in a closer box 3, an arithmetic circuit unit 8 for calculating the intensity of the vibration and a power source unit 9 both accommodated in an arithmetic unit box 6. The sensor unit 2 and the box 3, and the box 3 and the arithmetic unit box 6 are respectively connected with each other by means of communication cables 10A and 10B. Each of the sensors 2A and 2B detects a signal on an axis connecting the centers of the sensors, namely, on a first-dimensional axis. Accordingly, when output signals from the sensors 2A and 2B are inputted, the intensity of the vibration is promptly analyzed in real time in the calculation circuit unit 8, and the size and direction thereof are displayed on the unit 5.
