Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain sheet to be thermally transferred which is free from curl generation during storage with excellent image regeneration by providing a curl preventive treatment layer on the rear of a base. CONSTITUTION:A curl preventive treatment layer 6 is composed of a sheet-like element 8 provided on the rear of a base 2 through an adhesive layer 7. The material of the sheet-like element 8 used for curling prevention is polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, elongated polypropylene, nonelongated polypropylene, etc. Also capacitor paper is used. Further, a lubrication layer 10 can be provided below the sheet-like element 8 according to necessity. Thus almost no curling occurs during storage because the sheet to be thermally transferred has a curl preventive layer 6 on the rear of the base. Consequently, the inconvenience of handling the curled sheet is eliminated.
