Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently convey long length materials without being damaged, by arranging several groups of elevatable fork lifters on a transfer carriage in longitudinal pairs, and by enabling a plurality of long length materials to be held in multiple tires in cargo handling of each lifter. CONSTITUTION:Several groups of fork lifters 14A, 14B-17A, 17B are disposed in longitudinal pairs on a transfer carriage 11 composed of a longitudinal pair of running units 12A, 12B a stringer beam 13 coupling the units 12A, 12B with each other. In this arrangement, the front lifters 14A-17A are arranged in the front side part of the stringer beam 13 rearward in that order, and the rear lifters 14B-17B are arranged in the rear side part of the stringer beam 13 forward in that order while they are prevented from interfering with each other. Each lifter is composed of a cargo receiving fork 22 which is elevatable along a fork guide 19 through the intermediary of a drive chain 25, and receives long length materials fed from a shifter bed, in multiple numbers. Further it is possible to hold them in a multi-tier stacked condition.
