Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a colored, insulated electric wire having excellent property both in coil winding process and in self-lubrication by applying and firing a paint made of a heat resistant synthetic resin added with specified amounts of stain, polyethylene and anti-oxydation/deterioration agent over a conductor directly or via another insulation layer. CONSTITUTION:To a resin of excellent heat resistance such as polyesterphenoxy (epoxy) resin, polyurethane, etc., are added 0.1-15 weight percent of stain of pigment or dye, 0.1-10 weight percent of polyethylene, and 0.1-5 weight percent of anti-oxydation/deterioration agent of hindered phenol family. The composition is applied and firing over a conductor directly or via another insulation layer. This makes it possible to obtain a colored, insulated electric wire having excellent properties of self-lubrication, wear resistance, and resistance against color fading.
