Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily execute the examination of a driving element for a large number of picture elements in a short time, by connecting previously the picture element electrodes in the direction of a row with a separable connector, separating said connector from the electrode after the examination of the driving element. CONSTITUTION:Line electrodes 21 and 22 are provided for a large number of picture element electrodes in the direction of the line. The driving element 41 for the picture electrode 11 is constituted of two diodes 41b and 41n which are connected in antiparallel, and the diode 41b in a positive direction is connected with an electrode 11 by a connecting film 5 provided on said electrode 11. The diode 41n in a negative direction is connected with the electrode 11 by the connecting film 5 provided on said electrode 21. In this case, the latter connecting film 5 extending in the direction of the electrode 12, is connected with an electrode 12, resulting in formation of the connector 51 connecting the electrodes 11 and 12 with each other. Said connector 51 is separated along a cutting plane line C, after the examination of the diodes 41b and 41n. The same is about the driving element 42 for the electrode 12.
