Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of transmission by pressing a driven frictional wheel against a driving frictional ring by the action of a cylindrical end face cam rotated together with a driven rotor to give a thrust to a movable driven rotor. CONSTITUTION:A driving frictional ring 39 fitted on a driving frictional wheel 38 through a spline is constituted to be pinched by driven frictional wheels 54, 56 provided respectively on a driven rotor 48 and a movable driven motor 57. When a slip takes place between the driven frictional wheels 54, 56 and the driven frictional ring 39, a rotary phase difference takes place between the driven rotor 48 and the movable driven rotor 57. As a result, the driven frictional wheels 54, 56 are pressed against the driving frictional ring 39 by the action of cylindrical end face cams 65, 72 harder than they are previously pressed. That is, these cylindrical end face cams 65, 72 act as a toggle joint to increase a contact force of frictional wheels if any slip takes place between the frictional wheels. Thus, the slip along with the increase of a load is remarkably reduced to improve the efficiency of transmission.
