Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent water hammering and noise generation associate therewith by arranging a ring-shaped valve plate at the oversurface or undersurface of a valve body, and equipping it with a reinforcing plate which moves up and down together with this plate. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 8 is provided with a return path 10 and a communication path to put an upper 5 and a lower 6 liquid chamber in communication with each other. A ring-shaped valve plate 12 to block the return path 10 is arranged at the oversurface 11 of the valve body 8. A reinforcing plate 18 is put afloat on the oversurface of this valve plate 12 and moves up and down consolidated with the plate 12 so as to prevent moving in idleness. This prevents water hammering likely to occur when the return path is opened abruptly and prevents also possible noise generation associate therewith.
