Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate accurate seeding of small and light seed at least one in each sowing part, by applying water to a thin member, picking a plant seed on the thin member by the adhesive force of the water and sowing the seed to a seed carrier using the thin member. CONSTITUTION:A seed carrier 14 is soaked with water and pressed with a tip of a thin tube 1 by pushing a suspension frame 4. The thin tube 1 sucks the water contained in the carrier 14 to constantly keep the tip end in wet state. The thin tube 1 is restored to the initial height by a spring 6 by releasing the suspension frame 4. A seed basket 13 is positioned under the thin tube 1 by rotating a rotary pan 10. The suspension frame 4 is lowered, a plant seed 12 is picked up by the water attached to the thin tube 1 and at, the same time, the thin tube 1 at the symmetrical position is pushed against the carrier 14 and wet with water. When the suspension frame 4 is released, the seed 12 is lifted, the rotary pan 10 is rotated and the carrier 14 is positioned under the seed. The seed 12 is firmly attached to the carrier 14 from the tip end of the thin tube 1 by lowering the suspension frame 4. The seed 12 is left on the carrier 14 by releasing the suspension frame 4 and the sowed carrier 14 is taken from the device together with a carrier-holding pan 15.
