Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent background staining even with respect to the change in the constitution or preserving and manufacturing condition of a printing plate in an extremely effective manner with good reproducibility and to perform good printing imparting high ink density, by incorporating a specific polymer in a damping liquid composition for a planographic printing plate containing fine inorg. particles. CONSTITUTION:In a damping liquid composition for a planographic printing plate containing fine inorg. particles having an average particle size of 0.1mum or less, a polymer represented by general formula (I) (wherein either one of A or B is an X-unit and the other is a Y-unit or a Z-unit. a, b, c, d and e are the mol. numbers of respective constitutional units but d and e may be zero. The average MW of said polymer is 600 or more and the ratio of the Z-unit occupying in the polymer is 50wt.% or more) is contained. By this method, even in ink for offset rotary press and a plate material easy to generate background staining, the background staining can be prevented in an extremely effective manner and the amount of the fine inorg. particles can be reduced and, therefore, printed matter having high ink density and good quality can be obtained and a result good in reproducibility is obtained.
