Abstract
PURPOSE:To enlarge the magnetic coupling between a magnetic recording medium surface and an auxiliary magnetic pole by obliquely forming a magnetic pole layer to be the auxiliary magnetic pole near an exposed edge surface on a magnetic recording medium side, protruding one part of a main magnetic tip near a magnetic recording medium scanning surface position, and forming an auxiliary magnetic tip at the position farther than the magnetic recording medium scanning surface. CONSTITUTION:The auxiliary magnetic pole is obliquely formed near the exposed edge surface on the magnetic recording medium surface side. That is, after a first magnetic pole membrane 2a is formed at the lower part of a substrate 41 through a protecting membrane 2d, a gap insulating membrane is bonded, and then a coil part 2c is spirally formed. Thereafter, a second magnetic pole membrane 2b is formed at an upper part on the reverse side of the central clearance of the spiral coil part 2c through an insulation layer, a side to face to the magnetic recording medium is cut off, and then an etching is executed with the aid of a mask 42. A ring-shaped magnetic circuit is prepared on the substrate. Thus, the magnetic recording medium surface of the auxiliary magnetic pole is enlarged, and the magnetic pole coupling between the auxiliary magnetic pole and the magnetic recording medium is enlarged.
