Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve yield of raw material and to extend selecting range of carbonic material by specifying ratio of the carbonic material having the specific volatile matter and powdery iron ore to change in a rotary kiln in the production by using the rotary kiln and a top-bottom blowing type smelting reduction furnace. CONSTITUTION:As showing in the figure, the wet condition powdery iron ore and the coal having >=8% volatile matter are charged in the rotary kiln so as to become the carbonic (C conversion) wt./the powdery iron ore wt. >= 0.35 as the charging raw material ratio and successively charged into the smelting reduction furnace after pre-treating. In the kiln, the powdery iron ore, coal and flux are preheated and dried by exhaust gas generating in the smelting reduction furnace. Then, the powdery iron ore is coagulated and a part of this is reduced. Further, dust in the exhaust gas from the smelting reduction furnace is deposited in the kiln to help promotion of coagulation of the powdery iron ore. Further, by regulating the charging raw material ratio, ring in the inner wall of the kiln is difficult to develop at the time of growing the coagulation of the deposited dust.
