Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly and stably execute the detection of a servo pull-in point with a simple constitution by detecting the focus servo pull-in point when a focus signal is a threshold or above within a prescribed range based on first and second detecting signals. CONSTITUTION:When a focus error signal is the threshold corresponding to a minimum level or above, the output of a comparator 6 goes to an H and an AND gate 10 is opened. On the other hand, as for this focus error signal, when the comparing reference value of a detecting circuit 2 is processed by first and second comparators 8 and 9, and the focus error signal is within the range determined by these reference values, the wired AND output of the comparators 8 and 9 of the output of a circuit 7 goes to the H, passes through the gate 10 and goes to a servo pull-in detecting signal. By such a simple constitution, a servo pull-in is accurately detected and the detection of the servo pull-in can be exactly, without fail, and stably executed without having the influence of a noise since a differentiator is not used.
