Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain precipitation prevention and flowability improvement with respect to a high-concn. coal-water slurry from a wet crusher, by adding a high-concn. coal-water slurry from a wet mill to the slurry from a wet crusher in predetermined proportions at an appropriate stage. CONSTITUTION:A high-concn. coal-water slurry obtd. in a wet crusher 4 is subjected to pulverization treatment in a wet mill 5, and most of the high-concn. coal-water slurry from the wet mill 5 is fed to a screen 6. By the screen 6, coarse coal grains are separated from the high-concn. coal-water slurry. High- quality product which has passed the screen 6 is collected in a storage tank 7, and separated coarse coal grains are returned to the wet mill 5 for re- pulverization. Part of the high-concn. coal-water slurry obtd. in the wet mill 5 is introduced into the wet crusher 4 in an amt. of at least 5wt.% based on the wt. of charge stock fed into the wet crusher 4, pref. up to 50wt.% from the viewpoint of production efficiency. This recycling contributes to precipitation prevention and flowability improvement for the high-concn. coal water slurry from the wet crusher 4.
