Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand the communication area and to improve the communication quality by receiving a signal from an opposite station with a directivity antenna for communication with the opposite station and another directivity antenna provided separately so as to obtain a direction with the best receiving state thereby controlling the azimuth angle of the communication antenna. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 10 of a mobile station 9 is used for the communication with a base station and has a directivity. The other antenna 12 is a reception antenna having a directivity similarly. A radio wave of the base station is received while the antenna 12 is being turned and fed to an electric field detection sampling section 14. A comparator section 15 introduces the best azimuth angle depending on the reception electric field and the sampling direction and the result is given to an antenna drive control section 11. Thus, the antenna 10 is kept in the best angle, then the mutual communication area between the base station and the mobile station is expanded and the best communication quality is obtained.
