CONSTITUTION:Each detected value of an air flow meter 14, and oxygen sensor 17, a crank angle sensor 21, an intake air temperature sensor 23, a water temperature sensor 24, etc., is inputted into a control unit 20, and a fundamental fuel injection operated on the basis of intake air quantity, engine speed or the like is compensated by the feedback compensation value based on the detected value of the oxygen sensor 17. The control unit 20 delays as long as the specified at an output reversal of the oxygen sensor 17, reversing the feedback compensation value, and it prevents any false control due to a noise from occurring. During this delay time, a control gain is made smaller so as to cause variation in the feedback compensation value to become smaller, thus overshoot is prevented from occurring.
