Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a uniform amount of liquid drops to be discharged from a recording head, by coating a pripheral edge part of a discharge opening by a hardened film of polymerization setting coat film forming composition having specific fluorine polymer and polymerization setting monomer and/or oligomer as principal constituents. CONSTITUTION:Water insoluble organic solvent soluble fluorine polymer of not less than 2000 in average molecular weight is necessarily contained by 0.01wt.%, preferably by not less than 0.1wt.% in a coat film forming composition. Polymerization setting monomer or oligomer as another constitutional component is that having not less than two (meta) acryloyl groups in a molecule, and it is necessarily contained preferably by not less than 1 weight % and more preferably by not less than 5wt.% in the coat. After coating this coat film forming composition on a surface of a base material to be protected of a discharge opening periphery edge part of a recording head or after impregnating the base material thereby, it is cross-linked, polymerized, and hardened by giving energies of heat, light, electron beam, etc., and a recording protective coat film can be formed.
