Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the title film with both merits of a sunshine examination film and a heat-ray reflecting film and permit the continuous production of the same, by a method wherein a specified silver layer is provided between two layers of titanium oxide, which are provided with specified thicknesses and refractive indexes, in parallel to the layers optically. CONSTITUTION:A titanium oxide layer (TiO2 film) having a refractive index from 2.2 up to 2.4 and a thickness from 500Angstrom up to 1200Angstrom is arranged at the side of a silver layer having a thickness from 100Angstrom up to 300Angstrom in parallel optically. It is not necessary that the titanium oxide film and the Ag film are provided adjacently to each other. As far as they are arranged in parallel optically, the same function may be held when one side of the titanium oxide film is on one surface of a transparent substrate, the Ag film is on the other side of the substrate and the titanium oxide film is arranged on the Ag film, for example. When the thickness of the layer of silver is less than 100Angstrom , the reflectance of light except a desired band of transmitting wavelength or the reflectance of heat rays becomes low and heat ray shielding effect may become insufficient, when the thickness of the same exceeds 300Angstrom , the transmission of the light in the band of desired wavelength is lowered.
