Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to usually obtain the flow rate of a pump with high accuracy without a pressure loss and independent of the condition of a piping by storing a relation between a pump head and discharge flow rate in a microcomputer previously so as to measure the pump head. CONSTITUTION:Signals detected by an ultrasonic level gage 10 and an electric discharge pressure gage 11 are converted from analog to digital in an AD converter 12 so as to be continuously inputted into a microcomputer 13. In the microcomputer 13, an equation wherein a pump head curve representing a relation between a pump head and discharge flow rate is approximately calculated by a least square is programmed. Thus, the liquid level and discharge pressure are continuously detected so that it is possible to usually obtain the discharge flow rate of the pump 1. Therefore, it is possible to usually measure the discharge flow rate of the pump 1 independent of the presence or absence of a straight passage and the effect due to the adhesive substance to the inside surface of a piping and further without the pressure loss of the piping.
