Abstract
PURPOSE:To operate a shutting-off circuit to enable an electric current flowing into a speed adjusting coil to be shut off by a method wherein a power supply voltage applied between terminals of a speed governor coil is detected by a voltage detection circuit in case of erroneous connection, it is discriminated by a voltage level discriminator circuit and a desired signal is sent to a holding circuit. CONSTITUTION:In case that a correct wiring is arranged, a voltage is induced between terminals of a speed governor coil 4 according to a condition of load in a motor. Since this voltage is lower than the power supply voltage, even if it is detected by a voltage detector circuit 3-1, it is not judged as an erroneous connection by a voltage level discriminator circuit 3-2 and so a shutting-off circuit 3-4 is not operated. Then, in case that a power supply having a waveform (a) is erroneously connected, for example, between the terminals H and L, since a peak value P of waveform detected by the voltage level discriminator circuit 3-2 reaches a set value S, it is judged as an erroneous connection, a pulse signal waveform C is sent to a holding circuit 3-3 to operate a shutting-off circuit 3-4. Then, one end of the speed governor coil 4 is released from the power supply to shut off an electric current and the speed governor coil 4 is protected.
