Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable fusing action at a temperature not to influence magnetic characteristics, by integrating a pair of half materials of magnetic core having metallic magnetic thin films by fusing glass having a specific composition and constituting an operation gap by the thin film. CONSTITUTION:A composite magnetic head is obtained by integrating a pair of half materials 22A and 22B equipped with metallic magnetic thin films 21A and 21B (thin film of Fe-Si-Ga-Ri alloy) on substrates 20A and 20B by fusing glass having the following composition and an operation gap 24 is constituted by the metallic magnetic thin films 21A and 21B. The fusing glass has a composition consisting of 40-62wt.% PbO, 11-25wt.% SiO2, 5-9wt.% B2O3, 5-9wt.% Bi2O3, 0-11wt.% Na2O (0wt.% in not included) and 10-18wt.% sum of Fe2O3 and ZnO. By the composite magnetic head, the fusing glass 23 has 390-430 deg.C transition point and 430-460 deg.C yield point, 530-630 deg.C can be set as an operation temperature and fusing operation can be carried out at <=65 deg.C temperature not to influence magnetic characteristics of the metallic magnetic thin films 21A and 21B.
