Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the removing efficiency of a core metal by crushing the core metal of a valve with the water jet injected from a nozzle and discharging the crushed core metal together with a water from the gap between the nozzle and valve. CONSTITUTION:The valve consisting of a shaft 1 and head 2 is fixed by a chuck claw 7 to a rotary base 7. A nozzle 9 is fixed to a vertically moving spindle 10 and its one end is connected to a superhigh pressure pump 12. The nozzle 9 is inserted into the shaft 1 via the spindle 10 to inject a high pressure water jet from the nozzle 9. In this case, the core metal 3 filled up in the valve is gradually crushed with the action of the jet and discharged by ascending from the gap between the shaft 1 and nozzle 9. Since the crushing and discharging actions of this core metal 3 can be automated the removing efficiency of the core metal 3 from a hollow valve is improved.
