Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain overlapping of adjacent recording beams partly mutually by providing an optical path difference being an interference enable distance or over between overlapped laser recording beams so as to eliminate interference. CONSTITUTION:A beam splitter 3 splits a laser light beam B1 from a laser light source 2 into a straightforward beam B2 directed to the straightforward optical path E and a direction change beam B3 directed to a bypass optical path F. A rectangular prism 9 is provided to the bypass path F to adjust the optical path difference between the paths E and F to a required enable interference distance or over. The recording beams B7, B8 modulated by modulators 7, 8 are made incident on the beam synthesizer 10 from two directions orthogonal to each other and the directions are arranged to radiate a recording beam B10. Thus, interference is eliminated and the adjacent recording beams are overlapped mutually.
