Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce a stable PLL clock signal by using an error signal or a reference signal being an output of a phase comparator circuit and controlling the other signal so as to avoid the disadvantage that the error signal and the reference signal appear at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Either the error signal PD or the reference signal REF is used to control the other signal thereby evading the disadvantage that the error signal PD and the reference signal REF being outputs of the phase comparing circuit appear at the same time. The error signal PD from an EX-OR circuit 4 is inverted via an inverter 6 and fed to a gate terminal G of a FET 7. Moreover, an error signal PD' from the EX-OR circuit 4 via the inverter 11 and the reference signal REF from the EX-OR circuit 5 are fed to an AND circuit 12, where both the said signals (PD' and REF) are ANDed. The output from the AND circuit 12 is fed to a gate terminal G of the FET 8.
