Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy polymer composition excellent mold releasability and printing property without staining molds, by melting phenolic novolaks with an organopolysiloxane having epoxy groups while heating and adding the resultant random copolymer to other components. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy polymer composition containing a random copolymer obtained by reacting (A) phenolic novolaks having 250-600mol.wt. (single component novolak or cocondensed novolak of phenol, alkylphenol, resorcin, etc.) and (B) an organopolysiloxane having one or more epoxy groups, e.g. a compound expressed by the formula, with a cyclic organosiloxane to provide an epoxy functional polysiloxane polymer, etc., then melting the obtained epoxy functional polysiloxane polymer, as necessary, in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. tertiary amine or organic phosphine compound) at 1/10-10/10 molar ratio of groups Si/OH while heating in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% based on the total composition.
