Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer composition, consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene polymer and filler containing a clay mineral, having excellent heat and chemical resistance and moldability and capable of providing molded products having excellent creep resistance and sealability and especially suitable as gaskets, etc. CONSTITUTION:A polytetrafluoroethylene polymer composition containing (A) polytetrafluoroethylene polymer, preferably containing >=50% solid with >=10<3>mol.wt. and >=5wt.%, preferably >=10wt.% substance containing at least thereof formed into fibers under shearing force and (B) >=60wt.%, preferably >=70wt.% filler (carbon, graphite, etc., as other fillers) containing clay mineral having 300-0.01mu, preferably 100-0.01mu average particle diameter (preferably clay consisting essentially of kaolinite) in an amount of >=30wt.%, preferably >=50wt.%, especially >=80wt.% based on the total amount of the filler.
