Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the system fault of the loop network caused by a bypass means by releasing an optical loop transmission line at the normal state from a central control monitor station. CONSTITUTION:If a fault takes place in a main system optical fiber transmission line 7, a data flowing in a solid line arrow direction to a reception module 4 of a slave system optical fiber transmission line 8 is not received. A central control monitor station 6 detects which section the fault takes place. The monitor station 6 selects the transmission module 5 of the transmission line 8 whose fault is detected and the module 5 receives a data from the upperstream slave station 2 received correctly by the reception module 4 of the transmission line 8. The data from the upperstream slave station 2 is sent to the slave station 2 through the transmission line 8 as shown in dotted line arrow to bypass the faulty point. Thus, the system fault of the loop network due to the bypass means is prevented.
