Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a food from being scorched by cancelling a heating sequence when heating is not started again until an arbitrary time, when heating is suspended before a food reaches a detection temperature after the heating is started. CONSTITUTION:A heating source 3 to heat a heating chamber 2 and a temperature detecting means 4 to detect the temperature in the heating chamber 2 or in a food to be heated 1 are provided in the heating chamber 2 in which the food to be heated 1 is placed. A control part 5 consisting of a microcomputer controls the heating source 3 by the signals from the temperature detecting means 4 and by a stored cooking sequence. When heating is suspended by opening of the door of a heating chamber while an automatic cooking operation is proceeding, the controller determines whether the food reaches the detection temperature 'T1' and the remaining time is counted or not. If the food has not reached the detection temperature and 'X' minutes has passed after heating was postponed, the heating sequence is cancelled because the food is not guaranteed to get a good finish state. The time 'X' minutes is the limit value enough to obtain the good finish state in the food. A user can be clearly known as it is one's mistake when the food is left without being heated after the heating is stopped, and it is heated again afterwards.
