Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently cool the air in an air chamber by connecting a heat absorbing member provided on the air chamber with a heat discharging member provided on the outside of the air chamber by a heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:The air chamber 3 is formed by a cap 2 and a vessel 1, and the heat pipe 4 is so fixed as to project one end part 4a in the air chamber 3, and heat absorbing fins 5 are provided on the end part 4a as the heat absorbing member, and heat discharging fine 6 on the other end part 4b as the heat discharging member. Compressed air of high temp. from a compressed air source, such as a compressor, connected with an inlet port 7 is cooled while passing through the air chamber 7 by the heat-exchanging with the outside through the heat absorbing fins 5, the heat pipe 4 and the heat discharging fins 6. By this cooling, the moisture in the compressed air are dewed on the surface of the fins 5 to be made into water drops which are accumulated at the bottom part of the vessel 1. Thus the compressed air deprived of moisture by cooling is sent out from an outlet port 8 into a compressed air piping.
