Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain excellent fusion resistance and reduce electric resistance between a contact point material and a metallic base by using an active metal that reacts easily with carbon together with solder material.
CONSTITUTION: Contact point materials 2, 6 are fixed by soldering in which an active metal which reacts easily with carbon is used together with the soldering material. If such an active metal exits, the soldering material is no repelled as the active metal and carbon are united together. As the active metal, there are for example Ti(titanium), Zr(zirconium) and Nb(niobium). Regarding the methods of using the active metal together, there are methods of using a composite material in which a thin plate of the soldering material and a thin plate of the active metal are laminated or using an alloy of the soldering material and the active metal. This makes the fixation firm, reduces electric resistance between the contact point material and the metallic base and eliminates the possibility of the contact point coming off.
