Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively remove only an wind noise by having a function to detect the wind noise and controlling the sensivity of a low frequency band in accordance with this detection result. CONSTITUTION:The output of a microphone 1 is separated into a high frequency band signal and a low frequency band signal by a high area pass filter 2 and a low pass filter 3. These two frequency band signals are inputted into a high frequency oscillation counting part 4 and a low frequency oscillation counting part 5, and the signal amplitude value of respective frequencies is obtained. These two amplitude values are inputted into a deciding part 6, compared here, and whether a sound signal or a wind noise is obtained is decided. The deciding part 6 decides that the wind noise is obtained when the amplitude value of the low frequency band signal is abnormally high compared with the amplitude value of the high frequency band signal. Next, this deciding signal is sent to an attenuator 7 and the attenuation quantity of the attenuator 7 is controlled. Thus, when it is heavily windy, the sensivity of the low frequency band is attenuated and a tone quality is sacrificed more or less and a sound collection excellent in its clearness can be executed.
