Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably support an object to be supported by securing such a constitution where a stopper member is usually coupled to a mounting member and this holding state of the stopper member is released via an earthquake detecting action of a seimoscope. CONSTITUTION:A quake preventing device 4 contains a support 9 which is screwed into a bracket 8 attached to a bottom part 6. The support 9 supports the weight of an equipment and also controls the height of the equipment. A disk-shaped low-friction member (sliding member) 9 is attached to the inside of a lower end recess part 9e of the support 9. A stopper member 11 has a hole 11a which is fitted at an outer circumference 9c of the support 9, a large diameter part 11b and a projection 11c. A recess part 11d of the member 11 touches a coil spring 12 wound rounr the support 9. Thus the member 11 is pushed upward by the force of the spring 12. A seimoscope 17 is attached to an attachment plate 18 of the bracket 8 set at the part 6 and turns a cam 17a when an earthquake occurs. Thus it is possible to usually lock the support 9 and to avoid an unstable state.
