Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a silicone composition outstanding in impregnability, good in moisture resistance after impregnation and curing and adhesivity to adhesives, suitable for impregnation of electronic parts, by reaction between each specific two kinds of organosilicon compound.
CONSTITUTION: The objective silicone composition can be obtained by reaction between (A) an organosilicon compound of formula I [R1 is monovalent organic group containing acrylic group; R2 is (substituted)monovalent hydrocarbon; R3 is alkyl or H; a is 1 or 2; b is 0 or 1] (e.g., γ-methacryloxypropyl triethoxysilane) and (B) a second organosilicon compound of formula II [R4 is (substituted)monovalent hydrocarbon or H; R5 is monovalent organic group] (e.g., dimethyl diethoxysilane) in the molar ratio A/B=0.1W10. This composition has the following characteristics: 1. viscosity ... 5W50cst, 2. contents of Na+ and Cl- ... ≤10ppm each. The components A and B are each 3W100cst for the viscosity and ≤10ppm for the respective contents of Na+ and Cl-.
