PURPOSE:To obtain a thermally sprayed film having superior corrosion resistance and high adhesive strength, by subjecting the outside surface of a metallic tube to flame spraying with vitreous powdery material. CONSTITUTION:Flame spraying with a vitreous powdery material of <=1,000 deg.C softening point is applied to the outside surface of a metallic tube to form a vitreous thermally sprayed film. By this method, a recuperator tube equipped with the vitreous thermally sprayed film free from pores and having high adhesive strength can be obtained. Since this vitreous thermally sprayed film is free from pores, the corrosion of the recuperator rube due to the infiltration of gases, etc., can be prevented.
