Abstract
PURPOSE: To protect a compressor against a wet vapor suction and to protect it against a superheating operation of suction gas by providing suction pressure and gas temperature detectors at a suction gas route of a refrigerating cycle, calculating a superheat degree of the suction gas from both the detected values, and controlling to operate the compressor and open or close a liquid solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION: Suction pressure and suction gas temperature of a refrigerating cycle are always detected by detectors 7, 8, and a saturated temperature is calculated according to the detected suction pressure and set refrigerant type. If there is not the state that a superheat degree SH is a wet vapor suction of a set value A or less, the operation is continued. And, if it becomes the superheat degree SH or less, a liquid solenoid valve is closed to operate a refrigerant recovery. Then, a compressor is stopped, after a predetermined time, its operation is restarted, and the superheat degree SH is calculated. If it again becomes a set superheat degree A or less within a predetermined time, the operation is stopped, and an alarm is displayed. If the suction gas arrives at any of an upper limit set superheat degree C of the superheat degree of the suction refrigerant gas or an upper limit value B of the suction gas temperature, an alarm is generated.
