Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a testing agent capable of objectively diagnosing or predicting morbidity or progress of periodontosis, by using a specific oligopeptide as a substrate for measuring aminopeptidase-like enzymic activity in a specimen. CONSTITUTION:One or two or more oligopeptides expressed by the formulas X-T-Pro-S and X-Z-Arg-Y (Pro represents proline residue; Arg represents arginine residue; X represents hydrogen or amino-protecting group; S represents a coloring group linking to the C-terminal of Pro; Y represents a coloring group linking to the C-terminal of Arg; T represents an amino acid or peptide residue having the C-terminal thereof, consisting of 1-4 amino acids or protected derivatives thereof and linking to the N-terminal of Pro; Z represents an amino acid or peptide residue having the C-terminal thereof, consisting of 1-4 amino acids or protected derivatives thereof and linking to the N-terminal of Arg) are used as a substrate for measuring aminopeptidase-like enzymic activity in a specimen and a buffer agent is added to the above-mentioned substrate to provide an aqueous solution. Alternatively, the afore-mentioned aqueous solution is impregnated into a suitable carrier.
