Abstract

CONSTITUTION: This meter includes a mutual connection means to be applied for connecting a control means with an external device, a means periodically scanning the mutual connection means for a signal and a means responding to a prescribed input on the mutual connection means from the external device in order to move the function of the external device to the signal of the mutual connection means. The mutual connection means shows the external device communicating with an accounting means and a printing means for imparting data to the postal charge meter. Thus, the external device is capable of communicating the message on a display and the necessity for provided the external device with the display and a keyboard is eliminated.
