Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct a gas charging test of plural gas charged cables automatically by providing a means which sets opening and closing means for plural solenoid valves and a means which opens and closes the solenoid valves selectively according to the setting contents. CONSTITUTION:The tip sectional surfaces of the cables to be measured are connected to the respective valves 14 to be measured airtightly by a tape, etc. The terminals of the cables to be measured are sealed by sealing caps, tapes, etc. In this state, when sealing valves 12 and 13 and the valves 14 are open, the gas of compressor flows into the respective cables to be measured through an air port 18 to perform gas charging. When the charging is completed, the sealing valves 12 and 13 are closed and a measurement valve 15 is opened to stabilize the gas pressure in the cables to be measured; and then a manometer 3 measures the air pressure for the 1st time. Then the measurement is repeated at constant time intervals and a temperature sensor 11 measures the temperature at every time of the gas pressure measurement to correct the measured value of the manometer 3 with the temperature. Consequently, a person in charge only operates the setting means at the start of the test to conduct the gas charging test.
