Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the operability by performing the idle self-travel not requiring the depressing operation of an accelerator pedal when the accelerator operation is continuously performed for the preset time during the parking or when the vehicle speed is the preset value or less and the accelerator opening is the preset value or less during the travel. CONSTITUTION:A transmission C is connected to an engine A via a mechanical clutch B. The engaging/disengaging operation of the clutch B and the gear shift operation of the transmission C are automatically controlled by a speed change control means E based on the shift command signal from a shift selector D. A clutch control means I fed with detection signals of a vehicle speed detecting means F, an accelerator opening detecting means G, and a parking state detecting means H is provided. The clutch B is turned on when the accelerator operation is continuously performed for the preset time or more during the parking or when the vehicle speed is the preset value or less and the accelerator opening is the preset value or less during the travel of a vehicle.
