Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable printing to be performed at high speed, to make resist coating in manufacture uniform and besides, to prevent an electrode from being injured, by providing an ink feed opening to a support member of a closing plate which has a substrate and nozzle holes. CONSTITUTION:Ink in an ink reservoir part is fed to a common ink chamber 7 via an ink feed opening 12, and the ink which has been fed in this common ink chamber 7 is made to flow into each ink chamber 6. Then, when current is applied to an ink discharge pressure generation element 9 via an electrode 10, the ink in the ink chambers 6,...6 receives pressure by the ink discharge pressure generation elements 9,...9, and is discharged from nozzle holes 11,...11, then is adhered onto a material to be recorded, and a character or the like are printed. In the case where an ink jet head is manufactured, since the ink feed opening 12 is provided to a support member 13, it is not required to form the ink feed opening to a substrate 1. Thereby, resist coating can be made uniform when the electrode 10 is formed and further, even after forming an electrode pattern, the electrode 10 will be damaged.
