Abstract

PURPOSE:To give no adverse effect of a charged high voltage on a control circuit and other parts in a DC high voltage generation part by giving a photosignal to the terminal of optical fiber cable provided on an electrostatic coating device, and transmitting a control signal to the control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A charging electrode 31 is connected to a DC high voltage generation part 1 consisting of a DC high voltage generation circuit 11 and a control circuit 13, high voltage cable 2 and optical fiber cable 4. Then a light polarization signal which penetrates a light polarization board 32 from a light source 5 is transmitted to the terminal 41 of the optical fiber cable provided on an electrostatic coating device 3. After this the signal is supplied to a light receiving element 12 by the terminal 42 through the cable 4, and converted to an electric signal. This electric signal is transmitted to the control circuit 13 to give a start/stop signal to the high voltage generation circuit 11. That is, no high voltage is transmitted to the cable 4, if any component of those of the electrostatic coating device 3 is charged with high voltage. Consequently, no adverse effect of a charging high voltage is given to the control circuit of the DC high voltage generation part 1.
