Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size, cost, and driving force quantity of a zoom lens by zooming the lens by a mechanism which uses a helicoid screw and a solid cam. CONSTITUTION:When a 1st lens group holding frame 12 is moved forth through the helicoid screws 14a and 12a of 1st and 2nd lens holding frames 12 and 13 by rotating a zoom frame 14 manually or by a motor while both are on wide-angle sides, a cam frame 23 and the 2nd lens group holding frame 13 also move forth in one body. At this time, a cam frame 23 rotates together with the zoom frame 14 through the cam frame rotating groove 14b of the zoom frame 14 and the pin 24 of the cam frame 23, so the 2nd lens group holding frame 13 moves forth toward the 1st lens group holding frame 12 through an engagement pin 22 pressed against the cam surface 23a of said cam frame 23. Consequently, a zooming mechanism for a zoom lens is obtained which is low in working cost and small in size and driving force quantity and has high accuracy.
