Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the stable working of a microprocessor MP without using a reset signal circuit containing an external stable control means, by securing the stable working of the MP only when the power supply voltage applied to the MP is kept within a prescribed range and at the same time outputting the signals to the peripheral devices to show the stable working of the MP. CONSTITUTION:When an external reset signal B is supplied, a reset signal detecting circuit 4 detects the release of the signal B. Then it is checked whether the stable working of an MP is possible or not. At the same time, a power supply voltage detecting circuit 5 detects the range of the power supply voltage E and checks whether the stable working is possible or not. When the second outputs of both circuits 4 and 5 are equal to '1', a stable working confirmation circuit 6 set at the next stage produces '1' to a reset signal output circuit 7, etc. Thus the reset signals C are surely outputted to the peripheral devices and a RAM/ROM 21 for display of the stable working of the MP.
