Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the ignition at low temperature and promote the combustion of coked substance by using a conbustion aider which is a mixture of copper compound, potassium compound and heat-resistant powder having plastic coating, which are mixed at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The combustion aider comprises a copper compound and a potassium compound at their weight ratio between 5:95 and 90:10, and 5 to 100 weight parts of plastic per 100 weight parts of both the compound combined. In order to remove coked hydrocarbon substance by burning the same by using the combustion aider, the powdered or granular combustion aider is carried by an air flow to a location where coked hydrocarbon substance is deposited, and is caused to stick to it, which is then heated to ignite the coked hydrocarbon substance. When the coked hydrocarbon substance having the combustion aider stuck to it is heated in a gas containing oxygen, it can be ignited at a relatively low temperature between 250-350 deg.C, and fire is started. Therefore, the combustion promotion effect of the combustion aider is marked for the coked hydrocarbon substance.
