のボールバルブの製造方法に関するものである。
コンパクト型のボールバルブを製造する場合、第
1図に示すようにボール3とボールシート4,4
とを芯型1,1に嵌挿し、ボールシート4,4を
ボール3に向けて押圧保持するのに従来はボール
シート4,4の端面内周面を芯型1,1で押圧し
ていたので、得られるボールバルブは第5図に示
すようにボールシート4の外側周面がバルブ本体
に保持されているだけで内側周面はボールに対し
て押圧される状態とはなつていない。したがつ
て、ボール3を開閉操作すると、ボールシート4
は第5図に破線で示すように変形し、開閉操作を
繰返し行うと繰返し曲げを受けることになり、ボ
ール3との間の水密性が損われるという欠点があ
つた。
