It was difficult to install the engine compartment because the passenger space had to be made as wide as possible, and the engine compartment had to be placed as far back as possible in the vehicle.

問題があつた。 However, because of this condensing unit,
The space that can be used as a trunk room in the lower part of the vehicle body becomes narrower, which becomes a major obstacle in meeting the demands of users who want to secure as much trunk room as possible.Additionally, installing a separate auxiliary engine causes problems such as increased weight and production costs. It was hot.

In a large bus in which an engine is installed, a power take-off shaft that is rotationally driven based on power from the crankshaft is provided protruding from the rear side of the engine, and the power take-off shaft is located on the rear side of the engine, to the side of the power take-off shaft, and to the vehicle body. A cooling compressor is provided under the floor, and driving force from the power take-off shaft is transmitted to the cooling compressor via a second transmission means.

A power take-off shaft 6 (hereinafter referred to as a PTO shaft) that receives power from the crankshaft 2 is protrudingly provided, and a generator 7 is driven by the rotational force of the PTO shaft 6.
Similarly, a cooling compressor 8, pulleys 9, 10, 11 and a V-belt 12 as a second transmission means for transmitting power from the PTO shaft 6 to the generator 7 and compressor 8 are arranged on the engine rear surface 1B side under the floor of the vehicle body. will be established. In addition, 2 in the figure

The interior of the vehicle can be stably cooled through this system.

This prevents the auxiliary machinery from concentrating on the sides and, as a result, expanding the engine room forward. Needless to say, there is no need to provide an auxiliary engine to drive the compressor 8.
