Abstract

PURPOSE:To perceive the adaptability of an IC card by providing recessed parts on both side end surfaces of the IC card, providing a contact mechanism for discriminating the card facing the recessed part on a card acceptance part and driving, stopping external equipments in the state of inserting the card. CONSTITUTION:When the IC card 4 provided with the two recessed parts opening to the both sides of a package 5 is inserted to the acceptance part 3 of a card reader connector 1 from a card insertion slit 2, the contact 24 of the contact mechanism 22 for discriminating the card stands in the recessed part 21 and the contact part 24a of the contact 24 contacts the contact part 23a of a contactee 23. When a card except the IC card 4 is used, the contactee 24 retreats and the contact part 24a is detached. Thus the card reader is driven by closing the contact mechanism 22 and the adaptability for the card reader connector 1 is perceived at the time of inserting the IC card 4.

合性を検知することができないという問題があった。
