Reference numeral 2 denotes counter electrodes provided on two opposing surfaces of the characteristic element 1, respectively. Reference numeral 3 denotes two metal conductive wires led out from the counter electrode 2 in parallel with the counter electrode 2 and in the same direction, and lead out the basic characteristics of the characteristic element 1 to the outside. Reference numeral 4 is an insulating resin that covers the characteristic element 1 and the counter electrode 2. At this time, a portion 41L (hereinafter referred to as a foot sagging portion) where the insulating resin 4 is thinly attached is formed in a portion of the metal conductive wire 3 near the characteristic element 1.

A metal conductor wire is drawn out, a bent portion is provided at a portion of the metal conductor wire closest to the characteristic element, the characteristic element, the counter electrode,
The bent portion is covered with an insulating resin.

This makes it highly reliable.

In FIG. 1, numeral 11 is a characteristic element such as a varistor, which is an element showing the basic characteristics of a radial type electronic component. Reference numeral 12 denotes opposing electrodes provided on two opposing surfaces of the characteristic element 11. Reference numeral 13 denotes two metal conductive wires led out from the counter electrode 12 in parallel with the counter electrode 12 and in the same direction, and leads out the basic characteristics of the characteristic element 11 to the outside.

In this embodiment, since the bent portion 13 & is provided in a portion of the metal conductive wire 13 close to the characteristic element 11, the foot hanging portion 142L is much thicker than in the conventional example described above. Therefore, the foot sagging portion 15& does not enter the hole of the printed circuit board 16, and the solder 16 is reliably soldered to the metal conductive wire 13.
