Figures 1a and 1b show an example of a case where a conventional composite structure of this type is applied to a long structure such as a leg, in which a core material 1 is set inside a cosmetic outer shell 2, A foamable resin 4 such as a hard foamed urethane resin is injected into the gap 3 between the two and at the same time, the resin is foamed and filled. In this case, in order to position and fix the core material 1 at a predetermined position within the cosmetic outer shell 2, a rib 5 is provided at the inner bottom of the cosmetic outer shell 2, and a pair of wedges 6 are inserted into the core material 1.
It is inserted between the upper end of the cosmetic shell 2 and the inner wall of the opening of the cosmetic outer shell 2.

I won't be able to do it. Moreover, if a rib is provided in the middle or upper part of the decorative outer shell 2 instead of the wedge 6, the entire molding mold will become complicated.
It had drawbacks such as being difficult to mold.

る。 This idea was made in view of the above-mentioned points, and it is possible to reliably position and fix the core material in a predetermined position by using an extremely simple structure in which a driving member such as a staple is driven into the surface of the core material. The present invention provides a core material fixing structure in a composite structure.

FIG. In these figures, the legs 10 constituting the composite structure include a core material 11 formed into a substantially prismatic shape made of wood or the like, and a rectangular cylinder shape made of plastic, metal, etc. It is provided with a cosmetic outer shell body 12 into which is inserted. The upper surface of the cosmetic outer shell 12 is open, and this opening surface and the upper end surface of the core material 11 are flush with each other.

でない。 A cavity 14 having an appropriate gap is provided between the core material 11 and the cosmetic outer shell 12.
This cavity 14 is formed by a position regulating rib 15 provided on the inner bottom of the cosmetic outer shell 12 and a plurality of staples 16 (stamped) driven into the upper end and middle part of the surface of the core material 11, respectively. The core material 11 is located at the center of the cosmetic outer shell 12. The staple 16 is formed by bending a thin metal rod (wire) made of iron or the like into a substantially U-shape to form a pair of needle portions 16A and 16B with sharp tips.
and a connecting portion 16C that connects the bases of the pair of needle portions 16A, 16B.
B is driven halfway into the surface of the core material 11. The connecting portion 16C contacts the inner wall of the cosmetic outer shell 12, and together with the ribs 15 prevents the core material 11 from shifting and tilting. In this embodiment, one pair of staples 16 are driven into each of the opposing surfaces of the core material 1, and one staple is driven into each of the other pair of opposing surfaces. The number is not limited in any way.

述した楔のように位置ずれすることはない。 A hard foamable resin 18 such as a foamed urethane resin is injected and filled into the gap 14, and by foaming and curing the resin, the core material 11 and the cosmetic outer shell 12 are integrally combined. . During this foaming, since the core material 11 is positioned and fixed at a predetermined position by the ribs 15 and staples 16 as described above, the core material 11 will not shift or tilt. Further, since the amount of staples 16 to be driven is determined according to the interval between the gaps 14 at the staple driving locations of the core material 11, when the core material 11 is inserted into the cosmetic outer shell 12, the connecting portions 16C The wedges will surely contact the inner wall of the outer shell 12, and will not be displaced like the wedges described above.

It can be applied to the end base of a piano and even to furniture, and it goes without saying that the driving member is not limited to staples, but other members can also be used.

Since the core material is configured to be positioned and fixed, the driving part of the driving member can be freely selected, and the core material can be reliably positioned and fixed without moving like a wedge due to driving. Furthermore, existing products on the market, such as staples, can be used as the driving member, which is easy to obtain, and does not deform during foaming, which has very great practical effects.
