従来の装置は、特開昭52−311398号に記載のよ
うに、導光板底面を鋸状に加工したものなどとなってい
た。しかし導光板上面輝度はどうしても光源側が高く輝
度均−面とはならず、また形状的に複雑で生産性の点に
ついては配慮されていなかった。

る。平面光源システムの構成は第1図の平面図、第2図
の側面図で表わされるように導光板3.光源(蛍光ラン
プ)12反射板2.拡散板4から成り、導光板3は第2
図のごとく階段状に等間隔に仕切られ水平面との角度0
は約45°である階段面で、アルミ箭のような全反射物
5が取付けられている。また導光板3はアクリル等の屈
折率1.5程度のものが使用されてお1J、アクリル内
へ放射された光6は、階段面以外では全て全反射されア
クリル板の外へは出ない。このため、導光板II−面部
からこの状態を見ると第1図の階段面だけが全反射物5
に反射されて光り、等間隔の線光源が導光板31〕面か
ら見えることになる。
