Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A position sensor comprising a light emission element 4a and a photoreceptor element 4b is arranged in the way of paper carry path of carrying apparatus 1. The photoreceptor element 4b and the carrying apparatus 1 are connected electrically to punching mechanism 3 and upon entering of the leading edge of paper 2 between said elements 4a, 4b to block the light, an electrical signal is fed to the carrying apparatus 1 to stop the operation while simultaneously an electrical signal is also fed to the punching machine 3 thus to punch the paper. Consequently, the paper cen be punched accurately at predetermined position to require no manual punching upon copying.
